Lock 32 Yoga

Today marked the 3rd week of Lock 32 Yoga in the Park here in Bobcaygeon and I’m so thrilled about the success of this summer project. Collectively, we are living our dream of making the world a better place through the vehicle of yoga. The roots of our mission are planted in the soil of karma yoga…selfless action and service to others.

Each Saturday morning this summer, one of our talented local yoga teachers from Bobcaygeon will lead a class for a different local organization. The first weekend we had beautiful weather and raised over $300 for the Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre. Our second weekend was a little bit rainy but we were thrilled that the community showed up to support our public school’s Feed All Four program regardless of the weather. Today, we had our biggest turn out yet for the Women’s Resources Centre and we wanted to say THANK YOU!  A huge thanks to everyone for showing up to support this vital service in our community.

Together, we can help our community’s wonderful programs thrive. Please join us for next week’s class supporting the Bobcaygeon Helps Food Bank, on July 30th we support the Bobcaygeon & Area Syrian Sponsorship group who are currently working to bring a second family with small children out of refugee camp and into a safe home in our beautiful town. On August 13th we will be supporting the walk in clinic at the Kawartha North Family Health Team. On August 20th we will be raising funds for Environmental Action Bobcaygeon and wilderness park. Our final class will take place on August 27th for Lakefield Animal Welfare Society in support of our furry friends.

Please support our cause and learn more about us by following our Facebook Group- Lock 32 Yoga.

A heartfelt thanks for showing up to practice and for your generous contributions to our community’s vital programs,

With our love & light,

Ally, Janet, Heather, Glenda & Tanya
