I can’t really explain how much this past week has meant to me.
I’m so happy. My beloved friend Tiina Kivinen and I have just finished leading our #nosaraenchantment Yoga Retreat and are basking in the afterglow of a beautiful week. We have so much gratitide for this amazing experience, I want to share some of the magic and highlights with you!
We had the most amazing group of people share in this experience. We gathered together for a week of Yoga in the beautiful Blue Zone of Guanacaste, in the surf and yoga infused town of Nosara. Tiina and I are incredible thankful for this experience, honoured to hold space together for the inquiry of Yoga to deepen, in the epic beauty of Costa Rica.
Each morning included a 2 hour long sadhana (practice) including a wakeful flowing asana sequence, potent pranayama and guided meditation. We took silent walks to the beach, all while connecting to the wildlife, gazing at the monkeys and jungle all around us to practice yoga on the sand beside the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
Each afternoon we had a 2 hour sadhana that was all about resting deeply, a siesta if you will. Restorative yoga, meditation, aromatherapy, reiki healing touch and lengthy yoga nidras to rejuvenate all levels. Total Bliss.
Our local chef Tao, served up Tico Blue Zone meals for breakfast & lunch each day! Our meals were deeply infused with prana. Vitality. So nourishing. So healing. The food was mostly plant based, whole foods, central american staples of rice, beans, fruits and veggies and local specialties like fried plantains! Tao made the most amazing chia puddings and banana pancakes with passion fruit syrup. There were so many amazing meals and many retreaters asking to request Tao’s hand in marriage…. that’s some good cooking!
Beautiful Local Restaurants, such as the famous beachside ‘La Luna’, served locally sourced foods of the highest quality for our dinner outings. The most beautiful food, during sunset on the beach was blissful.
We were also blessed to welcome guest musicians for Sunset Kirtan. Many of the group took advantage of excursions, such as Surf Lessons, Zip Lining, and Snorkeling, while others opted to fully embrace the slow pace and book a massage or luxuriate in long days of beach and relaxation time! Beach walks, sunsets, yoga, monkeys, so much fruit…. coconuts…..truly enchanting!
Tiina and I are currently touring sites for our next, even better location, still in the Nosara area (because we love it here and we want to share it with you!) Stay tuned for save the date and wait list announcements, as we are already getting inquiries for next year! We would love for you to join us!
Here is a sneak peak for our potential location for next year!!!
