A full day women’s yoga retreat with Ally Boothroyd & Michelle Tamblyn-Sabo.
The intention behind this yoga retreat is to dive into the energy of the full moon phase and the intelligence of the Goddess Archetypes. We’ll integrate the energy of the lunar cycle, chandra & yin practices, and our divine feminine genius to balance the realms of containment and expansion, change and fluidity. We’ll inspire the universal qualities of the feminine: power, worthiness, joy, intimacy, vulnerability, pleasure, self~trust, love, wonderment, creativity, sensuality, receptivity, intuition and radiance.
Michelle will lead us through a Goddess Flow practice which is a fusion of yoga, circularized sensual movement and dance created for women. There are seven flows you will move through in class. Each inspired by Seven of the Governing Goddesses. Expect to stretch, tone, empower, release, dance and restore your Divine Feminine Body as well as connect to your Soul’s wisdom through meditation, awareness and exploration. You have the permission to release emotions, take up space in the room and honour what your body truly needs. You will be celebrated for your wise, courageous and sensual feminine body.
This connection to yourself, and to the other women in the room can open you up to authentic connections, which is really what the true intention of this practice is; to live in your Divine Feminine Essence, to be the Creatrix of your life and to feel the magical presence of the Divine Feminine Unleashed in your inherently Soulful Feminine Body and in the world around you.
It takes Courage to embody your Unleashed, untamed feminine nature and embrace the shadow side that comes along that truth. This gives you permission to be free in whatever needs to be expressed. This practice fosters a greater sense of worthiness, vulnerability, self~trust, self~love, wonderment, creativity, sensuality, receptivity and intuition.
Goddess Flow honours the cyclical nature of the Female body and gives you permission to acknowledge and dance through what ever arises for you in your movement and meditation.
This immersive day-long experience will allow you the space to nurture and empower yourself and take home new tools that will not only support your own self-care regimens, but will help you to support and serve your family, your community, and beyond.
We will let go of the busyness of life in order to pause and listen to our heart’s desires. We’ll replenish and fill our cups. We’ll slow down, let go, embrace, nourish, and heal within a safe, welcoming, and supportive space.
Michelle’s teaching reveals her profound love and adoration for the body’s inherent wisdom and ability to express truth. With an unquenchable thirst for learning and growth, she has studied extensively in Ahimsa, Restorative, Para and Ashtanga Yoga, as well as Feminine Movement and Shamanic Studies. Michelle is equipped to inspire women in living a wildly vibrant, sensual and powerful life fuelled by truth, wisdom and SoulBody connection. Michelle is the creator of Goddess Flow Yoga in addition to being a teacher, teacher trainer and co-owner of Ahimsa Yoga Centres in the GTA with her husband JP Tamblyn-Sabo. Michelle is also a Mother of two magical children, She is an ambassador for the protection or Mother Earth and a passionate advocate for reconciliation and awareness of Indigenous peoples of Canada.
From Ally: It’s been my dream of mine for a while now to create an immersive & healing space for people in the most accessible way possible. To allow individuals to take this much needed time for themselves without having to commit (both time-wise and financially) to a full week long yoga retreat or yoga teacher training. To offer an accessible space that people can come back to throughout the year to reboot, rebalance, connect and reintegrate the multidimensional aspects of themselves.
The day will start off at 10:00am with a morning yoga practice (asana, pranayama & meditation) over-looking our secluded bay on Pigeon lake. We will have a spacious, nourishing, clean, plant based meal together in the afternoon. We will be taking some time to reflect, integrate and spend time in nature. Michelle and I are so excited to offer this wonderful healing experience together.
Our meal time will include another opportunity to deepen knowledge and skillfully cultivating health and sustainability. Discover the benefits of a plant-based diet and how it can encourage a thriving, intentional, and energized lifestyle. Ally & Lisa will make us a healthy and wholesome vegan lunch and you will feel nourished by delicious, fresh and flourishing plant-based food!
The morning sadhana (practice) will begin at 10:00am so please arrive around 9:50am to settle into savasana in the space. Meal time will be around 12:30pm and the day will end at 6:00pm.
