Restore & Nurture One Day Retreat

Restore & Nurture One Day Retreat – Saturday October 20th 2018 ~ 12 person maximum (2 spots left!!!)

A full day women’s yoga retreat with Ally Boothroyd & Ireni Stamou

The intention behind this yoga retreat is to dive into an immersive experience in the most gentle and restorative way. To allow people the space to relax and breathe and also to take some new tools home with them to support their own self-care regimens.

To let go of the busyness of life and its demands and pause to listen to their own mind-body-spirit-heart’s desires & needs. To heal.

To slow down. To let go. To embrace silence. To nourish themselves and fill each of their cups.

To balance and ground the nervous system. To connect with nature and others in a safe and welcoming space.

We’ll integrate the energy of the lunar cycle, chandra energy (yin, cooling, moon, feminine), restorative yoga (& restorative aerial), and our divine feminine genius to balance the realms of containment and expansion, change and fluidity. We’ll inspire the universal qualities of the feminine: power, joy, intimacy, pleasure, love, creativity, and radiance.

This immersive day-long experience will allow you the space to nurture yourself in the most gentle and restorative way. You’ll take home new tools that will not only support your own self-care regimens, but will help you to support and serve your family, your community, and beyond.

It’s been my dream of mine for a while now to create an immersive & healing space for people in the most accessible way possible. To allow individuals to take this much needed time for themselves without having to commit (both time-wise and financially) to a full week long yoga retreat or yoga teacher training. To offer an accessible space that people can come back to throughout the year to reboot, rebalance and reintegrate the multidimensional aspects of themselves.

The day will start off at 10:00am with a morning yoga practice (asana, pranayama & meditation) over-looking our secluded bay on Pigeon lake. We will be taking some time to eat a nourishing, clean, plant based meal together in the afternoon. We will be taking some time to reflect, integrate and spend time in nature. Our afternoon will include a lengthy restorative aerial practice with Ireni.

Restorative Aerial Yoga is a deeply healing, low to the ground, suspension practice in an aerial hammock. With the intention to restore and relax your nervous system, experience a deep pelvic release, decompression of the spine and lower back relief.

In Restorative Aerial Yoga, swaying and swivelling the body from the base of the spine organically awakens the kundalini energy; and offers a safe haven for letting go.

About Restorative Yoga:

A restorative yoga sequence involves only 8-12 poses that are experienced for 5-10 minutes each, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. With as little effort as possible, the bolsters, blocks, blankets and pillows support you in light twists, seated forward folds, gentle backbends and more. Ireni guides a meditative state as you relax into the support of the props and sooth the entire nervous system. In this workshop we will experience restorative yoga with the support of the aerial hammock. This 2.5 hour experience will allow you to explore a larger variety of poses than would be accessible in a traditional 1 hour class.
