2 full days of women’s yoga + ayurveda retreat with Ally Boothroyd & Tiffany Nicholson-Smith.

Our first retreat was such a wonderful experience for all who attended and we’ve had dozens of requests for another. And so it is.

The intention behind this yoga retreat is to dive into classical tantric hatha yoga and the sister science of Yoga, which is Ayurveda.  Ayurveda is one of the oldest traditional medical systems known to the world today. Original texts date back to beyond the 6th Century BC , and before that Ayurveda was an orally transmitted tradition – some claim it has existed for almost 10,000 years!

Ayurveda can be translated as: “Ayus” – Life    &    “Veda” – Science

Ayurveda is known as the Science of Life, or more fittingly, Science FOR Life.

Tiffany is not only my Ayurvedic Practitioner who takes wonderful care of myself and my whole family but she is also one of my yoga teachers and trained me in the classical hatha tantric approach. This approach is the closest to the roots of the yogic tradition to any other training that I’ve been a part of. I’m so excited to bring Tiffany and her wealth of knowledge to Bobcaygeon for this therapeutic day.

Together we’ll explore the ayurvedic principles of healing the layers of the self through self care, food, and personal sadhana (practice). We’ll re-enchant our individual souls within the presence of the natural surroundings. This immersive day-long experience will allow you the space to nurture yourself in the most gentle and restorative way. You’ll take home new tools that will not only support your own self-care regimens, but will help you to support and serve your family, your community, and beyond.

We will let go of the busyness of life in order to pause and listen to your heart’s desires. We’ll replenish and fill our cups. We’ll slow down, let go, embrace, nourish, and heal within a safe, welcoming, and supportive space.


It’s been my dream of mine for a while now to create an immersive & healing space for people in the most accessible way possible. To allow individuals to take this much needed time for themselves without having to commit (both time-wise and financially) to a full week long yoga retreat or yoga teacher training. To offer an accessible space that people can come back to throughout the year to reboot, rebalance and reintegrate the multidimensional aspects of themselves.

The day will start off at 10:00am with a morning yoga practice (asana, pranayama & meditation) over-looking our secluded bay on Pigeon lake. We will be taking some time to eat a nourishing, clean, plant based sattvic ayurvedic meal together in the afternoon. We will be taking some time to reflect, integrate and spend time in nature. Our afternoon might include a mixture of yoga nidra, restorative yoga, Ayurvedic practices, and crafting. Tiffany and I are so excited to offer this wonderful healing experience together.

The morning sadhana (practice) will begin at 10:00am so please arrive around 9:50am to settle into savasana in the space. Meal time will be around 12:30pm and the day will end at 6:00pm.
